Gaige found Blaine nursing a beer at the bar. He looked a little dazed as he picked at the label.

“What’s wrong?” Gaige asked.

“Thinking,” Blaine said.

“About?”

“That hard on I had this morning. What a fucking waste. By my own hand? I don’t know, bro, I feel like I’m slipping.”

“Christ.”

“No, get this… I get a woman shot up and then I get a hard on that I have to take care of on my own. That’s like a fucking sign, bro, isn’t it?”

“No, it’s not,” Gaige said. He patted Blaine on the back. “Come on, I need your help with something.”

“I don’t know, man,” Blaine said.

“What if I said there was pussy involved in this?” Gaige asked.

Blaine jumped up and smiled. He downed the entire beer in one gulp and then slammed the bottle on the bar.

“Pussy? Let’s ride, bro.”

Gaige laughed. That was one way to get Blaine’s attention and keep it.

A few minutes later they were on their motorcycles, cruising the streets, cutting in and out of other vehicles as needed. Gaige hoped they would get there in time to save Belle. A dead escort would put heat on the business and once they figured out Emily was tied to another dead body and Back Down Devil MC, she would be ruined and the club would come under fire, again.

Blaine rode alongside Gaige as they pulled around back of the hotel. It was the largest hotel in town, mostly used as Emily said, for business. It’s where a lot of big wigs came to get their rocks off.

Gaige climbed off his motorcycle and Blaine was right with him. They went through a side door to the emergency steps. They took them two at a time, up to the fifth floor. In silence, they cut down the hall, drawing their weapons, ready for all hell to break loose if need be.

They found the room and Gaige put his ear to the door.

He heard the muffled sound of a woman’s voice crying.

“Fuck,” Gaige whispered. “She’s crying.”

“We don’t have a card to get in,” Blaine said.

“Fuck the card,” Gaige said.

He kicked the door and it busted open.

They rushed inside and found a beautiful blonde in bra and panties, tied to a chair with the wires from the telephone. She had a rolled up pillow case tied around her mouth. Her eyes were wide and when she saw the guns, she started to kick and scream more.

“Where is he?” Gaige asked. “Is he here?”

The woman hurried to shake her head, her hair bouncing left to right.

“Jesus Christ,” Blaine said. “Look at her. She’s fucking gorgeous.”

“Relax,” Gaige said. He walked to Belle. “Listen to me. I know your name is Belle. I’m here to help you. I’m going to take this out of your mouth. If you fucking scream, my friend here will shoot you. Okay?”

Belle nodded.

Gaige took the gag out of her mouth. Belle let out a breath and looked at Gaige, then Blaine, then back to Gaige.

“Fuck no,” she said. “I’m not paid for this.
